Terminal Server
Terminal server is complex of server and client software that allows the user to access remote computer via network connection or Internet. The client program (and sometime the computer) is called terminal. Server side software service, and the server computer itself, is called terminal server.
Terminal server shares software for different network users and allows the system to keep all clients data in the centralized place - on the computer server. Terminal software just transfer picture from server to client, and send user's input events backward. So, the terminal computer has not to be powerful, the network card is only required. Moreover, some terminal PC doesn't have a hard drive!
Single terminal server computer can manage a huge number of terminal clients at the same time. Many network users may work with the same terminal server simultaneously.
